In 2019, we are commemorating 100 years of the International Astronomical Union by organising a global celebration of Astronomy and its importance for society, together “Under One Sky”. Your organization now has the opportunity to join these celebrations by partnering with us to reach millions around the globe.

The centennial celebrations will stimulate worldwide interest in astronomy and science by involving the global astronomical community, national science organisations and societies, policy-makers, students, families and the general public. These activities will take place at global/regional levels, and especially at the national and local levels through a network of over 100 National Committees and dedicated resources from a comprehensive programme of initiatives to reach targeted audiences worldwide.

Our current activities are composed of Global Projects that range from Dark Skies protection programs and the naming of exoplanets, to celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Moon landing and the United Nations International Day of Women and Girls in Science. These events can are being supported by organisations around the world and we welcome inquiries from both the public and private sector to become involved.

By partnering with the IAU100 initiative and becoming involved in these celebrations, all related parties will have a chance to participate and engage with our global network and local communities to effectively make a difference in how astronomy impacts society worldwide.
